I don't think I want to see such a video. But what exactly happens to this guy that's so gruesome? NerdManYou can't see anything in the actual diving video. You see the guy trip when he goes to jump, and then hit the dock thing, and the water turns red. It's the hospital part that's gruesome. His face is split vertically from chin to forhead, wide open.
You can see his tongue flopping around and everything. However it isn't confirmed if the hospital video is the boy who jumped off the pier or if it's a different person.

The sword slices down his nose, forcing the man to recoil and cover his face in front of shocked onlookersIt is not clear where the accident took place but the trademark red cups suggest it was a gathering at a house in the US.It has attracted a mass following online with people suggesting 'don't try this at home'.Footage showing the aftermath of the failed stunt can be viewed online but is too graphic to be shown here.It is clear that the man needed hospital treatment following the accident.

I debated whether to post this; the graphic nature will offend some viewers, who are advised not to click on the video if the still image is disturbing. On the other hand the violence itself is not shown - just the aftermath. And it's real - not a video or movie FX.
Such accidents have happened in industry since Victorian times, and most likely on medieval and prehistoric battlefields before that. Survivial for even a brief period requires a crushing injury rather than a cutting one - an event that seals the aorta and vena cava. The event also documents the remarkable role of endogenous opioid endorphins. The video is unutterably sad for the man's activities - his futile efforts to close the wound or rebutton his shirt, and for the (lack of) activity of the bystanders, although it's hard to know what practical responses they could have made. The man reportedly died shortly after being loaded into an ambulance.Update: A similar case with a better outcome -The photo is of Peng Shulin, who was cut in half by a large transport truck in 1995. More details. I'm still trying to figure out whether this is the same man as in the video, but even if it's not, his case shows that survival is possible despite the overwhelming trauma - a testament to the resilience and recuperative power of the human body and spirit.A tip of the hat to roydgriffin for finding the link to Peng Shulin's story.Second update: The second man is apparently different from the first one.Third update: A November 2009 report on, who has now opened his own bargain supermarket - a 'half-price' store.
@the first Anonymous -I tried to give 'fair warning' in the text; sorry you didn't take heed, but I'll use this opportunity to warn you (and others) that this may happen again.TYWKIWDBI is created for adults. and for state legislators listening to boring speeches. Also when I link to home pages, the content at the link may change by the time you click through to it.although I know of some mature 13-year olds who visit here. The 'good news' is that I doubt that he was feeling much pain.
He appeared to be in shock, and his spinal cord was severed.I remember hearing a NY police officer say one time that sometimes someone will fall onto the subway tracks BETWEEN the train and the platform, and the pressure will twist the body around in such a way that irreparable damage is done. He said that the person remains conscious and talking as long as they leave them twisted. So they will contact the family and bring them down, and let them say goodbye.
When they untwist the body, the person bleeds out and dies within minutes. I imagine that this is similar to that situation, but the severing 'crushed' the arteries and sealed them, so there was no bleeding out. I think that the previous poster was correct that there is a slim chance that he could be alive today. What I found really sickening was that not a single person knelt down to him and held his hand and talked to him while they tried to get help there and get in touch with his family.
Where was the humanity? It seemed at the end of the video that a woman finally bent down and spoke to him. You couldn't have dragged me from his side.
I would have held his hand until help came, or he died, but I wouldn't let him lie alone like that. Quite frankly, I don't know if I would be able to hold someone's hand in such circumstances. Not only would I fear to hurt him, but I couldn't stand being so close to someone's bowels hanging out like that. I can understand compassion, but not to the point of unrealistic behaviour.Maybe the ambulance had been called, and maybe someone in the crowd had had the good idea to make people stand far from the poor guy so that he good breathe a little bit better, and not get any infection from the people around. AnonymousThe embedded link goes to liveleak, the comments indicate he's a Vietnamese policeman, somehow hit by a truck. And as dispassionate as the crowd may seem, it reminds me of what an ex-pat friend of mine said about Thailand - that if you see an accident - and there's nothing you can really truly do to help (that will be 'worth it' - do NOT stick around.
When the authorities arrive anyone hanging around will be detainable and if you have the most potential money, say for example you are an American - they stick you with a bill. And possible blame.
Bill, payoff, shakedown, whatever. You will be in Deep Shit. Talk about 'socialized' care! (Of the police.) They all drive like MANIACS and less accidents happen than seem possible, they happen - as counterintuitive, countercompassioinate (countervoyeuristic) as it may be - Do Not Linger.I don't think it's quite like that in Vietnam, but let's not rush to judge conditioned behavior, or different culture behavior, even if it is being filmed. At least he probably was not in any pain. @nfmgirlThe people you are referring to that are trapped between subway cars and the platform suffer from 'Crush Syndrome' which ultimately results in acute renal failure and subsequently death. The renal failure is caused by the chemical byproducts from the breakdown of muscle tissue due to the injury. More at Wikipedia:is questionable as to weather or not this man is dead or not.
Man Splits His Face In Half Video
With a transection such as this, exanguination is usually the cause of death, however given the type of injury, the amount of blood shown in the video is surprisingly small. In some cases of amputation, after the injury has occurred the blood vessels involved 'snap' back into the tissue almost like a rubber band that has been cut. This can help control the bleeding and is why you often see very little blood in certain amputations.
The larger the vessel, the less effective this is, but I can't help but suspect that might have happened in this case. Moving him from that spot without causing damage would be extremely difficult though. Swift Loris@nfmgirl (and Minnesotastan)-there was an episode of Homicide: Life on the Street in 1993depicting this very situation.
The guy is trapped for almost the entire show, while the cops talk to him and medics try to keep him comfortable. They pull the train off him at the very end and pull him out, and he dies a minute or so later.I watched it and was sorry I did; it had a sickening hangover I didn't expect. Wasn't that gory, it was more a function of imagining what you weren't shown. The actor who played the man caught between the platform and the train, Vincent D'Onofrio, is now the star of Law and Order: Criminal Intent, which I can't watch because he reminds me of the earlier show.Needless to say, I didn't watch the video here and would prefer not to have seen the still shot. I do think you should have put it below the fold, Minnesotastan. It's not a matter of not being 'mature'; some of us are just unpleasantly sensitive to such things.
Nothing we can do about it. I am done, 100% done, with your blog! Awfulness I would have never expected from you. And you cannot justify it by rattling off the medical/anatomical/physiological terminology you seem to have acquired somwhere - you revolting rubbernecker.
You should be ashamed of yourself for diseminating such astonishingly pitiful saddness. 'a crushing injury rather than a cutting one - an event that seals the aorta and vena cava.' Fascinating Doctor.
Simply fascinating. Then again, what should I expect from someone with absolutely NO appreciation for the abstract-expressionist art of OUR 20th century? Perhaps you should go back and look at some more high-resolution old photographs. Maybe now you're just heading off to your backyard to look at a couple-a purdy butterflies.
Diver Splits Face In Half
So it's all good. Sorry, but I feel betrayed and violated. I'm done with you.
AnonymousI find this whole 'denouncing' the blog thing bizarre. Anyone is free to peruse or not peruse, write or not write, what they like. What is strange is the feeling people have for announcing publicly that they are never coming here again.Yes, that image was jarring. It was so jarring to me that I did not watch the video.
I made a choice.Minnesotastan made a choice to post the video, with warnings.I suppose everyone has their choice to read or not read the blog, but I feel bemused at the offense people take to this, as if it was something designed to personally insult them.I don't think any personal offense was meant at all.For what it's worth, good on you, Stan. I enjoy the use of your freedom of speech. RoydgriffinI was so shure that the cell could also be a hint to 1995, because I used a similar one in the late 90s,and Asia is generally a few steps ahead in the Mobile phone Industry. Then the accident of Peng Shulin was the same as this poor guy's. The face seemed very alike too.I just wanted him to have survived.Too bad he might have not. Thanks for putting Peng Shulin's story on you blog anyway Minnesotastan!I am quite new to your blog, and I find it very interessting!Of course some violent pictures and videos are nothing for the faint-hearted, but most may agree that death is one of the most interesting topic for the living, and I mean death in every aspect. Some time ago I saw a video of two mountain climbers who where filmed when they suddenly fell into certain death.
Of course it was very shocking, but seeing the last moments of a human being is undeniable something you (fortunately) don't wittness very often, unless its part of your job, and therefore, without meaning to be macabre, very interesting.Well its just my opinion, and I am for shure no brainsick person. What I'm trying to say is you should'nt accuse Minnesotastan for putting this on his blog. Also he gave a fair warning, as he always does with content of this caliber.Excuse my partial bad english, I am from Austria and it has been a while since english classes.
AnonymousI call B.S. On all these complainers about the violence and the graphic nature of this video. It was maybe two weeks ago that this blog posted the video of a smashup while texting (and the typical comment there was what a wonderful thing it was to show violence in a good cause. Nobody complained about the graphic violence there because it was for a good cause.I agree with somebody above that if our government didn't ban photos of our soldiers getting their legs blown off and even just the pix of a soldier walking on an artificial leg - that this war would have been over long ago. Violence is being done in your name and with your tax money every single day in the middle east, and you sheep just let it go on, then you complain here about a car accident.
Get in touch with the real world for crying out loud.Duane. AnonymousI found this video rather interesting, actually. As someone who works in the health industry, I have a rather hight tolerance to gore, so that aspect doesn't bother me. But I agree with some of the other people who commented, that the lack of interaction from those around him is unsettling.Yes, the still from the video is upsetting, but you didn't need to watch it. Life isn't always pretty, some things in life are distressing. That's life.I'll definitely still be visiting - I love this blog!
There is always something interesting and I don't believe this was posted to be voyeuristic. Keep up the good work.Kylie, Australia. AnonymousDaniel,I would bet my house that you support the Repubs and this god awful mess of a war, don't you? We westerners are so sheltered from the real world and how horrible this kind of stuff looks it's no wonder we are hated all over the globe. Why would you watch something like this with your children is beyond me and leads me to believe you are either A.) A shitty parent B.) A moron C.) Someone who likes to find things on the web and bitch about their pornographic nature, or D.) All of the above. I am leaning towards D. You need to open your eyes and stop being such a follower.
Enjoy you labor day in sheltered suburbia. AstonAs shocking as the images are, I don't think it is voyeuristic in this case. No one who watches this is enjoying it; rather every one feels compassion. But we are so busy with our own lives anyway that it takes gory images like this to make us feel compassion or to want to 'hold his hand'. What about the people we see in our lives who are battling with illness or depression, or the beggars in the street whom we hardly look at, because there are so many of them?
What about our elderly relatives whom we hardly ever visit? What I will take from this video is not the harsh images, but rather the courage of this man who, albeit in a state of shock, managed to stay relatively calm in the face of death. It could have been absolutely anyone of us in his position. He most probably didn't survive. May he rest in peace and may God give strength to his family. Please everyone take care on the road. KimmyTok this is in Vietnam.Injured guy said something about he doesn't want to live. Bystanders doesn't know what to do. They said only the cops/officials can do something. By standers were asking him to give them a number so they can call his family.
The man is clearly in shock, that's why he keeps on touching his gut. If you noticed one man tried to put a cell on his chest so he can dial the number. A lady in the crowd tells him to plead to god to save him. Pled to god to save his soul. He repeated and she said Louder. She then said 'Oh god. '(poor thing) that's all i can hear besides the honking.
Based on his uniform it seems like he works for the government. The communist had taken over Vietnam. The government takes others life like a bug.
They robbed the churches, beat the priest and injured nuns.Shocking clip. I can only pray for him. AnonymousI was sickened by the picture then absolutely horrified to see the victim move, and understand he was still alive. But what brought me to tears were all the voyuers scrambling to get their pictures of his sufferings and that not one knelt down by his side and held his hand, or touched his face to let him know someone was there to be with him in his time of need. Thanks to the translator who shared that the bystanders were doing what they could to help him, but I wish someone would have just held him as we all would wish to be held if that was us on the ground. Very upsetting for this lack of apparent compassion. Anonymoushi my name is tung.
For the record THIS MAN DID NOT SURVIVE. THE CHINESE GUY WITH ROBOT LEGS SETUP IS SOME OTHER GUY. This vietnamese cop on the video died moments after being loaded in a cab to go to hospital. Its pretty strange in this age of 'information' every forum ive seen this on has this simple fact wrong. Just becasue they are both 'asian' as a roydgriffin said it must mean theyre both the same.
Do u realise how stupid u sound lol? Ones vietnamese and the other, the peng guy, is chinese. I doubt he was even involved in a car crash as hes now opened up a shop using his accident for publicity ('half'price store or somesuch)the viet cop here dies and prolly in the most horrible way i can imagine. Like a prev poster said its more the rubberneck aspect i find nauseating than the horrific injuries. I havent seen the video and made a conscious decision to ignore it when everyone here in saigon was showing it around.
Out of curiosity a woman yesterday offered to show me it and so my curiosity awakened again.the still image isnt as bad as id imagined (i have a vivid imagination) but i do feel sorry for him. Maybe its in the viet psche and is a reason they can bounce from the suffering in the country's past but they arent as compassionate or sympathetic a arce as whites. Chioldren getting beaten and yelled at is common and ive seen women bashed in the street where ppl all look on but noone steps in. Combine this w a nosy (or inquisitive depending on what side of the fence ur on) and u get the result of a bunch of bystanders filming a guys last moments to post on the net and no one offering a hand. The ppl are a bit harder as a rule. Of course they show kindness (they are human) but have a harder edge than white ppl. I dont know if they needed to be this way to survive wars etc in their history but its one aspect i admire in some whites.
They have a lot of compassion. Maybe thats a reason asia hasnt moved on to be as powerful as european nations.
Ppl are very family-centric and donmt offer much to outsiders. Hence the culture and society doesnt improve much w/o outside influences/education.tung nguyen. AnonymousHI ITS TUNG AGAIN.the second guy is peng.the first is a VIETNAMESE COP who died after 5 minutes after the video.why is this so hard to understand? Pay attention and read carefully:THEY ARE/ WERE TWO DIFFERENT PPL!(THE VIET COP DIED 5MINS AFTER VIDEO TAKEN).one is a chinese national the other a VIETNAMESE policeman as you can tell by the green uniform.he died in vietnam, was never operated on by chinese and didnt even survive the trip to hospital.lol and they call this the 'Information Age'- when ppl can confuse two totally separate events cos the guys involved happen to be 'Asian'.last time i checked asians consist of about 4 billion of the worlds population or 60% of earths ppl lol. LadyGood Lawwwd!
Oh My Goodness! WTH is he doing with his innards?? Why is he fidgeting with his skin???? OK, now that I got that out. I must admit that I am fascinated with medical files, situations, etc. And found this not only 'educating' but horrifying as well. I must admit that it did something incredibly positive for me.I was very VERY depressed lately, as I have had some hard times.
I even contemplated the 'S'. And since I saw this video. I WANT TO LIVE!!!! Thank you for sharing this truly realistic yet shocking reality of life and it's dangers.
I have been changed forever! AnonymousWe live in times of peace in the Western World, we are not used to such horror. My parent's generation who fought in WW 2, would be more accustomed to such scenes but we are not. My mother who was bombed for 2 years in Northern Italy had similar experiences.People would be talking to you one second then would be sliced in half by bomb shrapnel the next, their hands still clinging to the fence. Fighter planes strafing along a road would create pretty much the same scenes with their fifty calibre guns. Long live peace.
PilviI agree with the posts above. Disturbing and sad.
The lack of compassion is shocking. Though I gotta say that looking at the video I started to wonder, what would I have done there? It's easy to criticize observing the moment from our laptop, but honestly standing there in the situation, one might feel so shocked that it makes you stagnant.
If the guy would have been cut from the legs it might be different.? I mean my first thougt was 'He must be dead'. When he moved his hand I thought 'even if he's alive, will he survive? Are his injuries irreparable?' Of course one should call 911 without hesitation no matter how badly injured the poor guy is. Also the fact that they didn't go near him is that it's just simply so disturbing, they don't dare. The thing I don't understand, is the fact, that they wanted to take photos of him lying down there helpless.
I only wonder what the man was thinking. Wait, I don't have lower half of my body? What a nightmare. AnonymousER nurse weighing in here.
The video is FAKE. I’ll list the clues: #1: the man is severed at the level of vital organs, yet for at least five minutes is fully conscious, talking, waving his arms and even doing practically full sit ups to view the injuries. In reality he’d be dead within 30 seconds from massive blood loss just from the femoral artery being ripped off his body. This is a main artery and when it’s severed, you’re dead in 30 seconds unless someone is there within seconds to apply a tourniquet.#2: Notice how tattered the point of severing is in his lower half off to the side. Yet note how much cleaner the “cut” is in his upper half. The two pieces do not fit, and there is no nearby other remains that can fill in the points of severing to make them fit.
One is tattered and the other is a clean cut. That makes no sense.#3: Notice that the cut line of the lower half is very angled, yet the cut line of the upper half is more vertical. Again, the pieces do not match. They are not two pieces of a puzzle that fit together. Another clue is that the length of his legs does not match the length of his upper body- The legs are in once piece from foot to point of severing, but the whole piece is too short.#4: If this is fake, how is the Peng Chinese guy for real, then?
Fotomagico pro serial numbers. Excluding words such as these will result in much more accurate results.Recheck your spelling for Fotomagico 3.0.5 just in case, you might also want to try searching without the version number. If you still are having trouble finding Fotomagico 3.0.5 have a look at the high speed results above, they are completley free and you will most likley find what you are looking for there. Serial Search TipsWhen searching for Fotomagico 3.0.5 do not include words such as serial, number, key, license, code, torrent, etc.
I reviewed other photos of Peng. He was amputated further down. The point of amputation from an accident is always lower than the final surgical result. Judging on one of the photos of Peng, his amputation, at the time of accident, was probably below pelvic level, retaining some of his legs, if just stumps. This would have been enough for a bystander to apply a tourniquet to the femoral arteries. The bystander would have had to act very fast, but I can see how Peng survived.
The point of severing (according to one very clear, front view photo) was not at organ level, but below the organs, possibly below the pelvis.#5: If the video is a hoax, why is it set in Vietnam? Because part of the hoax is the reaction of bystanders, and this kind of reaction would never fly as believable in a highly developed country like the U.S. But it’s more believable in a developing country, and that’s why the hoaxer set it in Vietnam rather than the streets of New York or London. I actually stumbled across this by accident, of sorts. I have been studying the type of injuries sustained in fatal plane crashes for a physics class I am taking. Reading some of the comments, I feel as though you certainly gave fair warning about the content of this video, and your criticism of 'Daniel' is probably dead on accurate. I don't understand people at all.
Kensington pocket mouse manual. The switch off button is like a reset button where you always have to use a pen or pin.I have used one for years and this order was a replacement.
I was much more upset at the reaction of people on the street, but I assume they though the situation was futile. I also assume the reaction is societal. I presume to hope that I would have tried to offer the victim here some degree of comfort in his last minutes alive.but I don't know. This video is not about gore or 'porn'.at least that is not what I got out of it. It simply made me think about the human condition is severe situations. And yes, it takes a certain maturity to handle which, unfortunately, many adults do not possess. CJT, Palm Beach FL.
Amati strikes Rimmer with the axe in his face, with the fact he turned slightly before the blow saving him from having his head cut in half. Evie Amati can be seen walking towards Ben Rimmer (top right) who has turned to see a woman carrying a long-handled axe. Source:Supplied“It was the end of the holidays. A witness saw Amati walk out of the store with ‘an axe dripping blood’ before she attacked a homeless man on the street. Source:Supplied“It didn’t really register. I’d lived in the Newtown area for years, you see all sorts of people and you don’t think much of it,” he said. But Amati came up close to Mr Rimmer and began talking to him. He touched the axe and then turned away.He now knows by watching the CCTV footage of the encounter that he had a sudden bad feeling about Amati.“My expression changes to kind of ‘here we go’.
I turned away to pay because Sharon had moved off,” Mr Rimmer told news.com.au.“I remember being struck. But I turned at the last minute, otherwise she would have chopped through my head straight through the front of my face.“I think I must have seen it coming.”Doctors later estimated it Mr Rimmer hadn’t turned, the brain injury caused by Amati would have killed him.“Her aim was to kill people,” he told news.com.au. “It was pure luck no-one was killed.”Mr Rimmer wasn’t immediately aware of what had happened other than “it was like a king hit”. “It didn’t register straight away, it took about 30 seconds,” he said.“I fell to the ground. I was prone, bleeding profusely.”Starting to panic that he might bleed out, so fast and flowing was the blood from his face, Mr Rimmer took off his shirt and said, “I tied it around my head trying to stem it.”At the time, he was not aware that Amati had also struck Sharon Hacker with her axe in the head. As Ms Hacker lay helpless on the ground, Amati brought down a second vicious blow which would certainly have killed her but narrowly missed. Evie Amati poised to take a second blow at Sharon Hacker, while Ben Rimmer lies bleeding on the ground to the left.
Source:SuppliedBleeding on the ground and screaming in panic as the pain kicked in, Mr Rimmer yelled at the 7-Eleven proprietor to lock the doors of the shop, for fear of Amati returning to finish them off.He began vomiting blood because the wounds and fractures in his face inflicted by Amati included a gaping hole in his nose, which sent blood pouring down his throat.Police and paramedics arrived and Mr Rimmer was told not under any circumstances to swallow the blood. Evie Amati tells detectives 13 hours after trying to murder Ben Rimmer and two others she won't answer questions on the grounds they might incriminate her. Source:SuppliedThey inserted four titanium plates in his face, including a nasal plate and an orbital plate to hold up his left eye.Evie Amati’s trial would later hear from doctors how tiny the gap was that Amati avoided killing Mr Rimmer with her axe blow and completely removing his eye.“I had a fractured skull on the side,” he told news.com.au.“All the nerves are gone in my eye and I can feel the orbital plate. Axe attack accused questioned 12 hours laterThe telling interview was played in court at Amati’s trial after her barrister, Charles Waterstreet, failed to have it excluded from being viewed by the jury.Ben was released from hospital after several days and spent two weeks waiting for the swelling to go down while he took pain killers and was mentally “jumpy”.As Amati’s trial took 18 months to reach the NSW District Court, Mr Rimmer tried to forget about it.
“I didn’t think about it every day until the trial was up,” he said.On the trial’s first day, Amati’s lawyer tried to get a plea deal on lesser charges of grievous bodily harm rather than wound with intent to murder. The NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) rejected the deal after asking Mr Rimmer what he thought.“I believed it was attempted murder,” he told news.com.au.“Grievous bodily harm is a lot lesser charge but maybe she would have got a longer sentence for that if the judge hadn’t heard her sob story in the trial.”Amati then tried to plead mental illness. Mr Waterstreet delivered a long and graphic description of Amati’s physical trauma post operation and her mental troubles. They included fantasising about cutting people’s heads off on the bus. Amati has been in three different women’s prisons.
Ben Rimmer leaves the Downing Centre District Court last August during Evie Amati’s trial for his attempted murder. Picture: Paul Braven Source:AAP“It was all about moral culpability. She had glowing references.”Nevertheless he was shocked when Judge Williams handed down a nine year maximum and four-and-a-half-year minimum jail term and is almost certain Amati will walk free in early July 2021.Amati claims to have “no memory” of the attacks, but because she admitted to them, she will be deemed to have addressed her offending behaviour. The CCTV footage meant she could hardly deny she did it, although Mr Waterstreet said in his defence case she was physically but not mentally there and had in fact “lost her mind”.“It's all very convenient,” Mr Rimmer said. “She was obviously planning to harm someone.“She had a knife in her back pocket.“I think the knife could have done more harm than the axe could have finished us off.“We haven’t heard the last of her.”The NSW DPP has told news.com.au that the matter of seeking an appeal over the short sentence given to Evie Amati was “being considered”.To sign up to Ben’s petition “Justice for Enmore 7-11 axe attack victims” on change.org.Know more?
